solar statement piece
I love how unnecessary this solar powered necklace is. If I were inclined to wear jewelry that lights up, I'd go for it. It would be cool if you could plug it in to other things to power them as you go about your day.

Save the earth!
If everyone got one of these washUP washing machine/toilets, the polar bears could frolic on their ice caps happily ever after. The washing machine's waste water is used to flush the toilet.

The Frog Was Wrong
Sometimes it is easy to be green. On a trip to Material Connexion I got to paruse the latest in green materials. Here's some favorites.

The glass waste we use is direct from post-consumer (glass bottles), and is generated in Northern California and requires no further processing before its use in BottleStone.

Laminar wool felt sheet typically used for carpeting. Strips of felted wool are adhered together using a polyester woven backing to create a flexible sheet.

Fused glass surfaces that utilize 100% post consumer recycled material. The slabs are fully vitrified, creating a translucent effect, with a fully dense top surface to resist staining.
