Sometimes it is easy to be green. On a trip to Material Connexion I got to paruse the latest in green materials. Here's some favorites.

Bio Glass

Fused glass surfaces that utilize 100% post consumer recycled material. The slabs are fully vitrified, creating a translucent effect, with a fully dense top surface to resist staining.

Bottlestone

The glass waste we use is direct from post-consumer (glass bottles), and is generated in Northern California and requires no further processing before its use in BottleStone.

True: The other day I spent a half an hour obsessing over the right shade of white to use in my hotel lobby project. After finally selecting a Benjamin Moore swatch, I flipped it over and it was called... "white".

Priceline is my new BFF

I spent the day yesterday mapping out and booking our trip to California! Priceline and the crappy economy gave me the hookup on cheap flights and hotel. I am sold on the whole naming your own price option. Not that I will have an opportunity to use it again soon, but it's always great to know how to get a bargain. My greatest fear about the trip, which includes camping near the Redwoods, is bears. This collage sums it up well.
