October is here and it's frighteningly chilly!  There's a lot to look forward to though.  Changing leaves, Halloween, pumpkin pancakes, and a trip to New Orleans!  This image is helping me to get into a spooky mood.  Edward Gorey was always my favorite part of Masterpiece Theater.

These brain cupcakes are an awesome Halloween idea.  Making butter cream is a little beyond me (ok, so I didn't actually look at the recipe, but it sounds intimidating) but I bet I could fashion these out of good ol sugar frosting.  OK, now I'm hungry.
