Now that it's finally getting warmer, it's time to show some toe!  I'm going for my first mani pedi of the season tomorrow.  It will be especially nice since I can't reach my toes these days.

Zarna

In my quest to get to know Nashville as a native (I'm half Nashvillian by marriage) I came across Zarna's Runway.  It's an amazing personal style blog AND here she is modeling the same exact style dress I got from a thrift shop in Nashville on my last visit.  My version is slightly longer and in red, and I've been hesitant about exactly how to style it (and it needs a petite alteration) and here Zarna is showing me the way.    Thanks, buddy!

Advanced Style

I just came upon an amazing style blog featuring stylish women of a certain age.  Advanced Style celebrates a full life of stylishness and makes me excited for the advancement of my own style!  Also, I have regularly passed the orange eyelash woman in the streets of the West Village and wondered who she was.  Now I know!

My favorite quote from the blog so far, "When someone is stylish you remember the person, not the dress.  The whole should be very natural.  It shouldn't be too aggressive; it must be harmonious."  So true, so true.  Keep it up, ladies!

sartorial situation

I ordered a camel cape on sale at asos, and when it arrived it looked kind of blah, so I was planning on returning it.  THEN I was looking through the archives of TONIC, a blog I delightfully stumbled upon, and there it was looking like perfection on Giia!  I'm going to have to give this one another look...especially at the sale price!

brooklyn lacquer

When I saw this image on the Brook&Lyn blog, I thought it must be O.P.I.'s shattered crackle nail polish in gold over a light pink.  I looked for it, but O.P.I. doesn't make shattered in gold.  Did she use gold foil?  It turns out it's Rococo gold leaf lacquer.  Crazy...crazy awesome.

Pug Love

If I knitted, I'd like to knit things like these.  The knitter calls this her "pug in a sweater".  Love.

I can hardly contain myself...

... but I don't have to!  I've just stumbled upon a vintage Christmas blog that will shower me with visual yuletide ecstasy all year round!  The author makes wreaths out of vintage ornaments.  See delicious specimen below:

I've found it, the cutest blog of all time.  This one is about cute food, and it's called... cutest food.  It's one to keep your eye on, especially if you need a little pick me up.  Here's the cutest of the cutest:

Cup of Jo is having the all time best giveaway: an Allen Company Vintage gift certificate. Now that I've come across their shop, their pieces will haunt my dreams. I would definitely have a hard time choosing between this cape and necklace.

I like your style

I enjoy reading personal style blogs. Now that I'm not in art school anymore, I don't get to witness that daily fashion show. So, I appreciate the ladies who give me my fix online. This look from New Year's Day is making me look forward to cooler weather. Layers!
