I came across a Bryan Nash Gill Woodcut print (in Anthropologie of all places) and was immediately struck by it.  I dream of having a print in my home.

The Beginning

8 years ago today, I was lying by a pond seeing shooting stars for the first time in my life!  As a city girl, I didn't realize that this is a pretty frequent occurrence (there are millions every night according to this article), and all you have to do is look up on a clear night and wait for them to appear.  While I was watching shooting stars with a boy I liked, he told me that he liked me too.  It's amazing to remember how it all began.  So sweet; so cinematic.

Peak Blooms!

The cherry blossoms were in full bloom on Saturday at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.  A bit ahead of schedule, but glorious as always.

Tree Line

I love this project.  If I were more courageous, I would undertake projects like these and kiss my 9 to 5 goodbye.  Maybe I'll be courageous one day.

teeny responsibilities- I could handle that

I can't keep plants alive.  They're way too much responsibility for me.  These however promise to be something I could handle.  I'll have to be the judge of that, but I can vouch for their teeny awesomeness.

Is New Zealand down under, or just Australia?  Anyway, today's beautiful weather makes me want to commune with nature.  What a beautiful dining spot!

A love letter to Bryant Park

I've been working on Bryant Park for the past 6 months and it looks like we're moving to a new space sooner rather than later.  I've really enjoyed looking out at the trees and eating lunch in the park.  It's a beautiful park with seasonal plantings, games, books, a carousel, and lots of fun special events.  I'll miss you, BP!

how civilized

This Decor Maison ad campaign shows a very civilized way to enjoy the outdoors.  Now that's my kind of camping!  I look forward to enjoying the regular tent variety camping next weekend.  This would be a great time of year if it would just stop raining!

lucky duck

I'm lucky that my dad got a job in Westchester in 1983 so I've always commuted in to Grand Central Terminal and not the giant hotdog stand that is Penn Station.  It's a beautiful building to walk through every day.  Tonight I had some time to kill and I happened upon this exhibition of a South Korean photographer who shot everything from the same window.  The birds were my favorite.

This ottoman is a great way to get a little bit of the outdoors indoors.  I'd like to have one to sit on at work.  Then I wouldn't have to rely on sunny days to have lunch "outside".

Another Day, Another Dollar

Not for these guys!  What a great environment to work in!  Spanish architects, SelgasCano are all about incorporating the outdoors in their spaces.  How civilized.

Pull up a Tree

For those times when you just don't want to come inside, you can compromise by taking the outside in with you via this bench.
