when governmental agencies design

...things go horribly awry. I wasn't too thrilled the last time the DMV issued new places in New York, I was fond of the simple statue of liberty design. It was classic, it was New York. Then we moved to a graphic at the top of the plate with Niagra Falls on one side and a nondescript city scape on the other. NOW things have gone entirely too far. Now the new plate is orange with blue writing and there is nothing indicating to other drivers why New York is so special. I think the new state motto is "New York: eeh". I've been seeing the orange plates more and more, so there's no going back. I dread renewing my registration.
