The temperatures are gradually cooling, so it's time to start thinking about revoking my pledge not to buy any more sweaters.

Around the Corner

Soon, my new roomie and I will be Brooklyn girls enjoying crisp autumn afternoons in cafes wearing florals and faux fur just like this asos girl.  9/1 is right around the corner.

Fall footed

This past weekend I went apple picking and to a winery's harvest festival. One of my friends was wearing her minnetonkas, and it struck me that moccasins are quite possibly the ideal Fall casual footwear. Boots are a highlight of the changing season, but moccasins bring me back to Falls past.

Taste of Fall

We've had a lot of pumpkins come into our lives this fall! Many dishes have arisen from these pumpkins, including two I got to savor today. Pumpkin pancakes started the day off sweetly, and pumpkin risotto brought it to a savory close. We've also enjoyed 3 varieties of pumpkin soup. The classic (I always insist on the classics) and the inventive have contributed to a delicious Fall.

Nobody Does it Better

My man is THE MAN when it comes to roasting pumpkin seeds. He dresses them with garlic and salt. I'm going to claim a team win though, since I am very skilled at having enough patience to remove the pumpkin innards from the seeds (it helps to be watching old episodes of Bev 9er on the Soap Network). Go, team pumpkin!

I love sleeping with the window open this time of year and waking up to crisp Fall air.

This is not exactly the view out my window. But it's someone's view; lucky them! I'm feeling the travel bug.

Welcome, Fall!

Sweaters, pumpkins, football, glitter acorns, who doesn't love Fall? OK, so glitter acorns aren't the most traditional, but I'd like to start a new trend.
