new beginning
It's always strange to me that the New Year gives people the feeling that they have a fresh start. You make your own fresh start. The New Year just means flipping a page in the calendar.

You light up my life?
I've been experiencing an unnecessary amount of angst about table lamps. The ceiling in my living room is too low for overhead lighting, so that leave a lot of pressure on table lamps. I've been scouting a pair for over a year, and these MCM beauties might just make me bight the bullet.

cheese envy
I haven't had dairy for 2 months for the benefit of the little one. Once I'm back on an all cheese diet, this Brooklyn shaped cheese board will add a festive kick to the inevitable pig out.

kilim lust
I've been on the hunt for rugs lately (and sofas, and credenzas, and rocking chairs...) and just came across this glorious etsy shop.

vintage accessories jackpot
I just came across an etsy jackpot shop for MCM accessories. I'm looking forward to getting the big things in order so I can really get into the details.

So long 2012!
And what a year it was! Many milestones, but 2013 will be the real life changer. We're going up to Western Mass to spend New Year's Eve with friends. It will be the most raucous New Years we'll have for a while- even with this monster head cold. Happy New Year!
I have nothing to wear!
If only getting dressed were as easy as this. Babies get to be so chic! Off to pick out my New Year's Eve outfit...

On the Prowl
I've been on the lookout for a vintage fur coat for several years. I missed a crucial opportunity to get one at a great price when Petrune was overstocked the winter I lived in Ithaca. Sadly, I was feeling poor then, so I restrained myself from snapping one up, but I'm hopeful that my future fur is hiding right around the corner. Here's one that tickles me.

mid century AWESOME
These cross stitch patterns are so ridiculously amazing. Too bad I would never actually stitch them. I hope they'll start selling them fully stitched.

summer knits
This combines a few things I can't get enough of lately: knits (but for summer? that's crazy talk!) and collars. With the unappealing exchange rate though, I think I'm destined to love it from afar.
