Hello, 2016

2016 is a baby year for me!  Ready or not, here I come!

Happy New Year!

The night ends early for me this year, but it still feels as celebratory as ever.

It's always strange to me that the New Year gives people the feeling that they have a fresh start.  You make your own fresh start.  The New Year just means flipping a page in the calendar.

2013 is here!

We ushered in the new year today with good friends watching a marathon of Between Two Ferns and eating tiramisu.  It was a good beginning to what will be a great year!  Happy 2013!

So long 2012!

And what a year it was!  Many milestones, but 2013 will be the real life changer.  We're going up to Western Mass to spend New Year's Eve with friends.  It will be the most raucous New Years we'll have for a while- even with this monster head cold.  Happy New Year!

Here it is: 2012

2012 was ushered in with a case of champagne, and now it's here, feeling preeeetty much like 2011, but good things are ahead.  Good things at work, good things at home, good things all around.  Positivity to start the new year.

This year we'll be watching the ball drop in Northampton, MA with some old friends.  Friends, food and a hot tub.  What more could you ask for?

Is it me, or is it strange that it's 2011?  I think it always seems strange when it's a year that you don't have a milestone planned.  We got married in '08, I graduated in '10, Matt will graduate in '12, it's these odd years that are up to us to define.  So I've not really spent much time thinking about 2011, but now that it's here I will celebrate... by not drinking!  I'm giving it up until I go to Taiwan in March, just to do something nice for my body.  So bon voyage bubbly (just for like 2 and a half months), hello 2011!
