Ever since spending Spring in Rome (in 2005- time to go back!) I have acquired a weakness for Italian Easter desserts.  I stopped by Veniero's Friday night and came across this creature.  How adorable & likely delicious.  If my mom didn't have dessert already covered I would have considered bringing him home.  Buona Pasqua!

'Cause I think Kate Spade says it is with her latest print ad.  I can't wait for the stripes to roll out of her store entrance onto the sidewalk again.  What a fete of retail design genius!

In Between

I spent a lovely afternoon at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden yesterday. I was actually a little late for peak cherry blossoms, perfect for daffodils, and a little early for tulips. Thank God it's warm again. Off to Ithaca for the weekend. Back in time to cherry blossoms rather than snow I hope!

I got to metabolize vitamin D today, as it actually seemed like Spring. Here are some things I encountered on my journey to the East River. I've given up dessert for lent, so the cupcake is my future reward for a job well done.
