Mommy's first Mani

Last weekend at a bachelorette party I got my first mani as a mommy!  My regular life is coming back in baby steps (sloooooow baby steps since my baby is 9 months old!) and it's good to be back!  Painted nails are such a simple way to make a statement.  I look forward to making more bold statements like the color here.

OK, now I'm scared.  I have been wondering why neon nail polish is so hard to find outside of salons (can't even find it on Essie's own site), and I just read that there are safety risks associated with them.  What?!  Like, I might blind myself with the neon-ness and step off the corner into oncoming traffic?  I need more specifics.  Where's the beauty doctor when I need her?

Advantage Ithaca

OK, not really.  But there is one thing that's convenient about Ithaca- no competition for shopping.  Not that there's much to shop for, but I had my eye on this Sonia Kashuk Spring compact and was actually able to find it in person at the Target in Ithaca.  When I lived in Brooklyn all the cute things would get snapped up in a second.  So thanks Ithaca, now I'll have an easier time applying my makeup on the train with this nifty rattan little compact.

Sale Time

This is a great time of year to find deals on things that don't normally go on sale.  That is of course if you've got any money left over from the holidays!  I'd get this if my credit card bill were a digit less.

Got mani pedis at a baby shower this weekend and got Essie's Jelly Apple.  It's the happiest shade of red I've ever seen!  Now I must own it.  Anyone know where to find Essie in Ithaca?

A Thing of Beauty

Prada's new fragrance L'Eau Ambree is shown in this lovely smokey atomizer. It would be the perfect fragrance for me if I actually liked the scent. It is pleasing to my other senses though.
