Another sign of summer.  The waves are calling me.

Summer is really here!

It's been a chilly start to the summer, but this weekend we enjoyed beach and pool time.  It's here!

Just when I thought I was out...

Just when I was getting completely bored with summer dressing and all my non layerable options in the midst of oppressive heat, I came across this image that sums up all that's right with easy breezy summer dressing.  I'll still enjoy my layers until it's time for this again.

Cape Cod Memories

My beach vacation this summer was spent on Cape Cod.  I've gone there almost every summer for my whole life, and now I get to share my childhood favorites with my husband.  Must dos are Mayflower Beach, the Sundae School, Kream n Kone, the Strawberry Patch and the Cape Cod Natural History Museum.  This year I tried something new.  We rented bikes and went for a 22 mile ride!  I hadn't been on a bike in 20 years and it was a little freaky.  I was whooped in the end, but it was a beautiful ride.  Thanks for another wonderful trip, Cape Cod!

Summer Scoop Up

As Summer comes to a close, there's a lot of great sales to take advantage of.  I found these guys online, but when I went to J.Crew to check them out in person the store was closed at 8:15!  I guess the city that never sleeps makes exceptions.

Stormy Weather

It finally rained today to temporarily break the heat.  I enjoy summer storms and it's been a good year for that so far.  I saw some amazing lighting from my previous sublet on the 44th floor and from our balcony in Orlando.  It's fun to watch from the safety of your building...or a teacup in this case.

Cold & Sweet

I'm not a girl with a big sweet tooth, but in the midst of this heat wave, this is very appealing!
