I love Audi's e-tron concept, a fully electric car based on the R8. They revealed this beast at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. Can't wait to plug one in.

an ode to laser cutting
Tonight I went to MAD for their pay what you wish evening to check out Slash: Paper Under the Knife. I particularly enjoyed Stones and Rocks and Stones and Bones by Anderw Scott Ross. Here's a glimpse of his work.

got it, want it
Since I refuse to pay for shipping (not so much flat out refuse as just prefer to avoid) I went over to Anthro this weekend after seeing a skirt I had drooled over but couldn't justify even at the sale price get its price slashed yet again! So I nabbed it. I also spotted these earrings online. Alas, they were not in the store and now they're no longer online. They live on in my dreams.

Tim Burton
I finally got to the Tim Burton exhibition at MoMA. It was great except for the crowd. Fortunately, it's open until late April, so I can swing by again to get a better look at everything. I enjoyed the 3D objects the most, plus there's some priceless projects of his from grade school. I overheard a man saying, "who would keep all this stuff?" and a woman responded, "his mother!" Of course.

Home is where the art is
The Songzhuang Artist Residence near Beijing, was designed by DnA architects. The compound includes space for artist studios, living spaces, and gallery space to showcase artists' work. Feels like home to me! Hopefully there's ample closet space.

It's January!
January Jones looked stunning last night as usual. I love her versatile style. Here's a tribute.
Something Fishy
I saw this Marc by Marc Jacobs suit at Bloomingdales a while ago, but it's finally online there and Saks now. I will be keeping an eye on it to see if it goes on sale. Today was a sunny winter day in Brooklyn. If it's Winter, it should be snowing, otherwise I'm not interested. I wish I were heading off to a place where I could wear this...
Update: Got it! Thanks, Gilt.

Off Season
I've enjoyed a few Winter trips lately. It's fun to go for a little vacation when all the tourists are at home drinking cocoa.
First, I was charmed by I.M. Pei's Johnson Art Museum in Ithaca, NY.
Then to Cape Cod where I enjoyed a snowy walk on the beach and a trip to a magical pottery shop in the woods, Scargo Pottery.

Thanks!
Jessica from What I Wore has created a new site that houses a database of vintage store locations. Now I'll know where to turn when visiting Wala Wala!

ooh!
Saks is having a shoe sale on a few things that I'm glad are not in my size. It's always nice to have the angst taken away from you. Thanks Saks!
