Lust

My eyes jumped on this bracelet as I explored the Soixante Neuf sale at Gilt. Let the justifying begin...

Vintage is a Girl's Best Friend

Elle introduced me to this site with this adorable (albeit, sold out) necklace. Some of the pieces are pretty affordable. The perfect way to commemorate a special occasion... perhaps a graduation...

Chelsea Adventures

We had a great time this weekend exploring our city. Since our days here are numbered (for now) we've got to do everything on our NYC bucket list this summer. This weekend we went to the Chelsea Market, the High Line and Chelsea Brewing Company. Fun was had by all.

Treats from Chelsea Market! I had a delicious pizza for $2.

Eating's fun.

when governmental agencies design

...things go horribly awry. I wasn't too thrilled the last time the DMV issued new places in New York, I was fond of the simple statue of liberty design. It was classic, it was New York. Then we moved to a graphic at the top of the plate with Niagra Falls on one side and a nondescript city scape on the other. NOW things have gone entirely too far. Now the new plate is orange with blue writing and there is nothing indicating to other drivers why New York is so special. I think the new state motto is "New York: eeh". I've been seeing the orange plates more and more, so there's no going back. I dread renewing my registration.

C is for Clever

These keyboard stickers are pretty fun. Luckily I already know how to type, or else it would take some effort to keep decoding the pictures. B is for Bowie though.

Plastics!

I graduated today! It's great to have this behind me, especially since I've set up a summer job for myself that begins... Thursday. So Tuesday and Wednesday are me days. It's been a loooooong time! I will revel in my laundry, and maybe a few fun activities too.

trendy tips

I am looking forward to silly manicures again. Now that I won't be constructing things on a daily basis, I can experience the joy of polish. This is a great example from Style Bubble.

message in a carpet

This Global Warming Polar Bear Rug from NEL has amused me for a while. Some things just make me want to have kids, so I can decorate kids' rooms. But that's about as far as that urge goes for now.

Out on my own

If I'm going to go into business for myself, I've got to have a desk that's up to the task. I don't know how much work I'd actually do here, but it would sure look pretty.

Mod Today!

I'm thinking of what to wear underneath my (hideous) gown at my graduation in a week. Naturally, I turned to Modcloth for the answer. I got a little off topic, but it was all in good fun. If I end up starting my own business (as is now the plan) I can write off the computer case. Yay!

me now

With most of my work done for school, I'm feeling a little like this.

Transitioning to the next phase can be rocky, but it's definitely a step forward. Bye, bye, grad school.

Apologies to the photographer. Grabbed this image a while ago while curating a theoretical photography exhibit. Don't know the credit.
