J is for James

The original is still the best.  Don't you think?

Rainbows Save the World

I think if we started proposing more wind turbines like these we'd have more success.

woody

I don't regularly wear a watch, but this natural time keeper is tempting me to orient myself to the day.

It's True

You're gonna die.  Why not have a chair that reminds you of that every day?

Pop!

Chriz Benz is the master of color pops.  I'm in love with his Spring/Summer collection.  Too bad I don't get this employee discount.

Bacon + Chocolate = Heaven

For Matt's birthday, he picked himself out a bacon & chocolate bar.  We wandered in to Vosges in need of a restroom break, and they were sampling the fatty treat.  We were hooked.  I could not stop shamelessly going back for sample after sample.  I'm a sucker for anything unexpectedly salty.

Dinner's ready!

Refinery29 is great for keeping me abreast of... just cool shit in general.  What's more important than a summer shoe slideshow?

Time of Wonder

I often think of one of my favorite childhood books during the summer.  How come adults' books don't have illustrations?

word play

How many points does this scrabble keyboard get you?

bib

Bibs are great.  They mean you're either eating lobster or looking adorable.  I'll take either.

employee discount

Thanks to the perks of employment with a women's fashion company, these green dandies, previously sold out, are on their way to me!  It's good to know people who have access to the warehouse inventory list.

living the dream

Lately we've been talking about living abroad for a year or two, maybe in Copenhagen or London.  We've got no details in mind, but it's a very exciting thought.  Though it would be a few years off, and who knows what a few years will bring, I'm enjoying the dreaming.

sartorial situation

I ordered a camel cape on sale at asos, and when it arrived it looked kind of blah, so I was planning on returning it.  THEN I was looking through the archives of TONIC, a blog I delightfully stumbled upon, and there it was looking like perfection on Giia!  I'm going to have to give this one another look...especially at the sale price!

brooklyn lacquer

When I saw this image on the Brook&Lyn blog, I thought it must be O.P.I.'s shattered crackle nail polish in gold over a light pink.  I looked for it, but O.P.I. doesn't make shattered in gold.  Did she use gold foil?  It turns out it's Rococo gold leaf lacquer.  Crazy...crazy awesome.

oh, the places I'll go

And I hope these flats will take me there!

all you need is LOVE

We both know that sentiment is far from true, which is why we celebrated 3 years of marriage yesterday!  We have so much more than love, and I love that.
