My grey slips are wearing out, which brings me to these...

sketchy

I came across these adorable cupcake journals recently. I love having a sketchbook on me at all times, but the to pressure to make sketches worthy of an adoreble sketchbook is too much for me. I'll enjoy these online and stick to my el cheapo Pratt Store sketchbook.

I forgot!

I was out in the Village a month or so ago and came upon the Little Marc Jacobs store windows. So cute! I had forgotten about it until just now when I was going through my photos. I suddenly have the urge to make a pinata.

I need to hurry up and get hired so I can make unnecessary purchases like this!

nap time!

Grad school would have been seriously improved by these sleep pods. In fact, I should head off to one right now! There's been some moments I would have dropped $10k for a nap!

big top bling

I'd break off that flag in a minute, but let's just pretend I could keep it intact and enjoy the whimsy. This boutique is a seriously fun time.

This could be a tasty installation to take down.

tangled no more

This ipod case is a cute way to battle purse clutter. It would really only make a dent in my purse's case.

In Between

I spent a lovely afternoon at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden yesterday. I was actually a little late for peak cherry blossoms, perfect for daffodils, and a little early for tulips. Thank God it's warm again. Off to Ithaca for the weekend. Back in time to cherry blossoms rather than snow I hope!

art games

"No matter how motif cubes are aligned, their patterns will always match to create amazing images full of beauty and harmony. Unlike a traditional puzzle or game, there is no right answer or winning move, only billions of fascinating images to be created."

- via Brooklyn 5 and 10

I love it when there's no right answers; but billions of combinations? Once you've hit a million you might want to go outside and smell the roses or something. I mean, really, life is short.

dance your cares away...

Today at work I got to watch a bunch of dance performances. I tend to be in a heightened state of stress all the time lately, but really, things could be worse.

Bunny Time

I'm so fortunate to be celebrating Easter with so many family members, including my Aunt who's in from Roma! These images encourage me to arrive early and take over the decor from my mother who will likely have her hands full cooking for 9.

Buona Pasqua!

style icon

It's hard to pick a style icon, but I certainly do love the Zooey Deschanel cotton commercial scene where she's wearing the turquoise cardigan and heels. When I was a Sesame Street viewer, my style icon was clear. Crystal Gayle made a couple of appearances that have defined my life. Long hair has always been my style and I remember being a toddler and identifying with her. Some things just inherently resonate with you. Thanks, Crystal!

salty cravings

Recently when I was at the local grocery store, (the local grocery store is reserved for emergencies, as its produce is usually riddled with insects and etc) I felt compelled to pick up some saltines. Not 'cause of a stomach ache or other malady, but 'cause I missed the flaky, salty taste in my mouth that's often reserved for recovery. Here's a way to incorporate saltines into your personal style.

Happy Birthday!

It's someone's birthday today (and April fools- no doubt the birthday boy or girl has heard a lot of HILARIOUS jokes about that one) so here's a tribute to you, and your birthday. I love these happy birthday and digit cake molds. Much more reusable than numbered candles; unless of course all you need is a 2 and a 9 for the rest of your celebrations!
