I'm gonna need this
No Reservations 100th episode is Paris. There's so many places I'm dying to jet off to, but watching this show just shot it to the top of my list. The more likely scenerio is that I'll go to Canada for my francais fix. Damn student budget.

the extras
I'm thinking of taking on another part time job to have a little extra money to do the fun things we don't get to do, like travel. We're thinking of visiting our neighbor to the north this fall. I love to explore.

Fall footed
This past weekend I went apple picking and to a winery's harvest festival. One of my friends was wearing her minnetonkas, and it struck me that moccasins are quite possibly the ideal Fall casual footwear. Boots are a highlight of the changing season, but moccasins bring me back to Falls past.

map it: obsession
What an amazing concept and execution! Eric Fischer has mapped photos of cities taken by locals (in blue) and tourists (in red) and mapped them. Yellow are photos that can't be determined. I love it.
Could you pick them all out?
1. New York, my beloved. Probably the easiest to pick out.
2. San Fran. Visited for the first time last summer.
3. Toronto. Now that I live closer to Canada than I ever have before, I've got Toronto on my list.
4. London. It's been 15 years since I visited! Damn, I'm old.

a chill in the air
It's been dipping into Fallish temperatures lately, and it reminds me that I can actually appreciate the changing seasons now that I'm not consumed with school work. I think I will venture into a baking project. These spatulas are motivating me.

read to me
This yellow lamp is just the lighting solution for the reading area in the living room. That's right, the living room has areas. I've clearly left the land of shoebox apartments.

not so urban, but outfitted
I might not be urban anymore (although Ithaca technically is a city) but I do still like to be outfitted. When I was back in the big city this weekend my friend helped me justify a few post b-day purchases including a fierce pair of over the knee boots that I cannot wear in the show. Perfect for upstate NY. So naturally I'm also drawn to this dress and top from Urban.

I like your style
I enjoy reading personal style blogs. Now that I'm not in art school anymore, I don't get to witness that daily fashion show. So, I appreciate the ladies who give me my fix online. This look from New Year's Day is making me look forward to cooler weather. Layers!

wiser me
Yesterday was my birthday, and I celebrated with 2 days of fun, friends and food! Notably, I got some delightful vintage things from Petrune, my new favorite store of all time. They have a Mad Med theme in the window now, complete with Scotch. Looking forward to celebrating more over the long weekend.
